Muscle Madness
Muscle Madness has it all; cardiovascular, full-
body toning, stretching, and breathing exercises. This
class
is for residents who are comfortable with different foot
work, combinations, and mat exercises. Come break a sweat
to the beat of the music! (45 mins)
Sit-N-Fit
You can sit and be fit! Sit-N-Fit is designed for those
residents who have difficulty with balance, walking, or
remaining on their feet for long periods of time. I won’t
forget to mention… this isn’t a typical chair
aerobics class. We will get up and get moving, but all
standing exercises will be done with the aid of a chair
for extra balance. (45 mins)
Flex & Tone
The goal of Flex & Tone is to help maintain and improve
flexibility and balance. This is done through a series
of toning, balance, and stretching exercises. This is a
once a week class that comes strongly recommended for all
residents. Make sure you try it at least once, many of
the exercises can be done at home too! (45 mins)
AB Crunch
Almost every movement requires the use of the “core” muscles
of the body, the abdominals and low back. Develop strength
in these areas and you’ll experience an improvement
not only in your appearance, but also in coordination and
agility. The class is recommended for resident’s
who are comfortable getting up and down from the floor.
The class is not recommended for a resident with Osteoporosis
in the spine. (30 mins)
Circuit Training
Alternate B/W cardiovascular and Strength training exercises during circuit
training. Each participant will move from station to
station during a given time interval to perform a movement
sure to get you moving.
There’s
no time to get bored, we just keep moving. This class
is for any resident who is currently involved in a regular
physical activity and is ready
to try something new.
